#8 is dead on. My husband rides a 750 ACE and he found the seat a little rough on his tailbone. He removed the cover and shaped the seat to a much better contour. I phoned around and found a guy who does boat and car upholstery. He did the seat up in a really nice heavy "leather look" vinyl that is actually designed for snowmobile seats. It's very thick and durable and stands up to all weather conditions. We just got the seat back tonight and it looks FANTASTIC. Really professionally done and well worth the $100 we paid. It is MUCH better than anything my husband could have come up with and it's going to last for years. He had dark purple flames embedded in the sides of the seat and it looks so good!
